Meet Our Beneficiaries

Zakariah has come a long way since receiving the SIA Trust scholarship in Grade 8. Originally from Tamale, his family's move to Accra for petty trading made it difficult to keep up with termly fees at his former school, a challenge that ultimately led him to SIA.

Now living with his aunt in Tamale and preparing for his A-Levels, Zakariah has thrived both academically and beyond the classroom, with active involvement in Shotokan, chess and drama. Driven by a passion for anti-corruption and ethical leadership, he aspires to become an investigative journalist, committed to making a difference across Ghana and the wider African continent.

Justin's journey through Savannah International Academy has been marked by resilience and dedication. Raised in Gumanli/Kanvilli alongside his parents and three siblings, Justin's family faced significant hardship after his father, a teacher and the family's primary breadwinner, lost his sight to glaucoma in 2008.

The SIA Trust scholarship gave Justin an opportunity he might not otherwise have had. A committed voice for community service and environmental cleanliness, he has actively taken part in local clean-up campaigns throughout his time at SIA. As he approaches the completion of his final year, Justin's perseverance and passion for community improvement continue to drive him forward, a testament to what's possible when talent meets opportunity.
