Fitness, discipline and teamwork as part of everyday school life.
Physical activity is a core part of the SIA experience. Through structured PE lessons and a wide range of sporting activities, students build fitness, discipline and teamwork, while discovering a love for movement and healthy competition that lasts well beyond their school years.
Students have the opportunity to take part in a variety of sports, including table tennis, lawn tennis, volleyball, and basketball, developing both individual skill and team spirit along the way.
At the heart of SIA's sporting life is the Ubuntu Recreational Centre, our purpose-built facility designed to give students access to world-class sporting infrastructure right on campus. The complex features:
Supporting swimming lessons and aquatic fitness.
A professional-standard surface for football training and matches.
Supporting strength, conditioning and overall fitness.
Named in the spirit of Ubuntu, the African philosophy of shared humanity and community, the Sports Complex reflects SIA's belief that sport builds not just strong bodies, but strong character, teamwork, resilience and a sense of belonging that stays with our students for life.
