Bismark Adum-Kwapong
Bismark is highly skilled educator with 22 years of experience of working in different Secondary schools in the United Kingdom and Ghana with outstanding results in student achievement, teaching and learning, educational management, and leadership. He holds a master’s degree in educational leadership and management. He began his career in the year 2001 as a Secondary school teacher in the Design and Technology department at Lea Valley High School in London where he demonstrated a passion for fostering a positive learning environment.
Over the years, Bismark took on various leadership roles, including serving as the head of the Information and Communication department, Director of Learning and later as the Vice Principal. He is committed to educational excellence and innovative teaching methods, adept at managing academic programs, staffing, developing positive school culture, and leading change management. He is overtly students-first, and no child is left behind educator with strong commitment to the development of students and staff; providing a stimulating and safe learning environment for them to thrive. He is a dynamic leader and solid team player with a proven track record in collaborating with the school community, raising students’ achievement irrespective of ability and background. He is a strong IT professional with up-to-date skills and excellent record of application of IT to lead change management and improve the quality of teaching and learning, and school administration.
Bismark is known for his collaborative and inclusive leadership style. He believes in building a strong sense of community among staff, students, and parents. He encourages open communication and values the input of all stakeholders. He is committed to creating a school culture that promotes both academic achievement, personal development, and growth mindset.
Bismark is a firm believer in a holistic approach to education. He advocates for a well-rounded responsive curriculum that includes not only academic subjects but also Curriculum Enrichment Programmes. Outside of his professional life, Bismark enjoys reading, particularly motivational and self-development. Bismark is an advocate for personal and career self-development and often participates in community events and initiatives.
