Mr Farouk Illiasu

Mr. Iliasu is currently Principal of Savannah International Academy, Tamale, the only educational institute in the whole of the Northern Ghana accredted by the Cambridge Assessment International Examinations (CAIE), UK.

Until August 2021, Mr. Farouk Iliasu was Principal and subsequently a member of the Senior Managment Team at  Multikids Inclusive Academy, East  Legon, Accra. He also doubled up as the Project Director for Multikids Africa, an organistaion that delivers inclusive teacher training and development across Africa.

With over 25 years of experience in the field of education, Mr. Iliasu gained his Teaching qualification, in the United Kingdom (UK) where he taught in various schools including Hendon College and Uxbridge College. He held various leadership positions including a Lead in Teaching and Learning and Head of Department. In 2005, Mr. Iliasu set up and headed Tower Training College in the UK to cater for International students wishing to attend universities in the UK.

Upon his return to Ghana in 2010, Mr. Iliasu joined the University of Professional Studies, first as the Quality Assurance Co-ordinator then later as the first Faculty Officer of the Faculty of Accounting, Banking and Finance.

Mr. Iliasu is a Trainer consultant for the Institute of Teacher Training and Development (INTED) and over the years has been involved in training over 700 educators across Ghana. He is a member of the Institute of Assessors and Internal Verifiers, UK and the Institute of Human Resources Management Practitioners, also in UK.

He is also a founding member and former Co-Vice Chairman of the National Association of Private Special Schools, Ghana and holds a Masters degree in Human Resources Management from the Middlesex University Business School, UK.
